AUTHORS AND ILLUSTRATORS

Gina Fernandez writes for a children’s television show and is also taking her MA in Creative Writing at U.P. “Celia Studious and Conrad Cat” (Adarna Books) is her first book. She has another book coming out soon.

Enid Reyes is a member of Ang INK and loves to draw animals.

Mirava Macaraig Yuson is a high school freshman at Reedly International School. Her story, “The Endangered Eagle and the Luminescent Child” won the Grand Prize in the RCBC short Story Writing Contest. She co-authored “Junior Starfish and the Rainbow (Bookmark) with her father Alfred when she was 5. Her poems and stories have appeared in Junior Inquirer, The Evening Paper, The Montessorian and Village Gazette.
Mirava has two older brothers, two turtles, two dogs and several fish. She hopes to be a zoologist or a veterinarian.

May Tobias is a member of Ang INK and Kuting. She used to be in advertising but left it to teach and illustrate. She has published several books for children like “Estrellita and “Amor” (Adarna).

Pierra Calasanz works for Meg Magazine and loves clothes. She writes poems, and occasionally for children. This is the first time her work will be published.

Jomike Tejido is a frequent contributor both as illustrator and writer and the talent behind Nico’s Notebook.

Robert Magnuson is a member of Kuting and a frequent contributor. His essay “Gruber” is a Palanca Prize winner. He recently published a book for children called “The Spectacular Tree” (Lampara). Robert is also the author and illustrator of Shirley’s Pets (Junior Inquirer). Shirley is Robert’s wife who shares his love for pets.

Carlo Flores Garcia is in the 6th Grade at La Salle Greenhills. He and his 3 other brothers had a pet iguana. It has since died and replaced by a turtle. Both Carlo’s mom and grandmother write for children.
